This spectacular, large Moon Jar is Thrown on the wheel using porcelain and raku clay mix to aid the thermal shock during the firing process. It is decorated with a Copper Wash solution and fired in a raku kiln and then is sawdust. The rim and foot ring are polished terra sigillate and blackens by the burning sawdust. The rim and foot ring are then polished to give contrast to the body. 24cm high
